For those for whom the easy tour isn't enough: half a day along the tracks of the Vjosa, Europe's last wild river. Fords, climbs, green gorges and a swim stop on a river beach no car can reach.
Direct booking with local operators: no hidden fees, free cancellation up to 48h before.
The route follows shepherds' tracks along the river: dirt stretches, low fords (the guide always crosses first), climbs with views over the gorges. It's not extreme technical terrain, but requires quad confidence: if it's your first time, do the lagoon tour first.
The river swim stop is the reward: fresh, cool water, white gravel, total silence. On the way back you often have lunch at a valley farm (€12-15, optional): lamb, cheese and mountain honey.
Those who have ridden a quad before and want to level up. Not suitable for absolute beginners or child passengers: for them there's the lagoon tour.
The river level rules: after heavy rain the fords become impassable and the tour moves. Full refund if it can't be rescheduled.
Medium: no extreme passages, but fords, slopes and 4-6 hours of riding. You need to have ridden a quad at least once.
Yes: 09:00 departure, 15:00-16:00 return with lunch. You're on the beach by evening.
